Lynn
Did you just provide measurements and a photo or did you actually take the engine to him??

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
Originally I took the engine to him, not far away.
He lost the measurement so came to me for remeasure. Quite possible he still has them in stock, for the showman that is.
I guess he would do it from photo and measurements. But if it does not fit its not "his" fault.
I even specified the height of the ground, number of lashing eyes and distance apart. I also specified two slots in the back for the original STW seat.
All seams are reinforced and even where the canvas goes over the safety valve pipes has double layer to strengthen.
Guess you would be after one for the short roof then to taper down to the chimney.

Hi Kevin
Yes very good quality. Takes seconds to fit over and does not blow away in the wind. Had lots of good comments about it as well.

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
Kev,
I purchased one from DC Products and that was £130 and built to my design, Brian M had one made to a different design so they are very flexible in your requirements. Takes about 2 weeks and is very heavy. I also got a few other bits and Mick is very helpful, He does not have an email or fax therefore you have to do things by a system called cheque and letters; did not know I had a cheque book till I asked the wife.

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
Gosh!
Created a new photobucket account to handle the extra traffic and to stop the bandwidth warnings. My second account can't even last a month before hitting 10G download limit.
Over the next few evenings I am going to reorganise the photo storage to get away from limits.
Normal service will resume soon.

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
Kev,
I PMed you, if you did not get it please PM me with your mobile/land line number and I will call you and get your email address. The design I sent to DC products was for a SM plus generator etc. Therefore may not be suited to you but I am more than happy to send. May be it is worth speaking to Brian W also, if you can make it it may be worth trying to get up north for the 5/6 oct for the Leigh Arms ( on TT) always can stop at my house (Brian W if you don't get a B&B applies to you also and Andy Coal Man ). This had 40 plus engines last year and it was better than any rally plus the pub gives FREE BEER; best event of the year in the North West.
The pub run is out of this world, 30 plus engines on a road run and many engine owners swapping engine miniature/full size owners to see what the other does (top draw).
Let me know
Best regards
Dwain
PS sorry L this is not your thread and I have gone off track

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
Sorry L when I refer to up North West, its England not Scotland, Leigh Arms is near Warrington in Cheshire (may be Lancashire is you are over 45 ).
A really good event for a year of end party, its even had a wedding which was held 2 years ago, not an empty glass all day was had (great event for the misses to pick you up from
or to sleep in a living van).

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
Lots of problems with the event.
It's away down south
Can't drink beer
No living van to sleep in
And definitely no missus to take me home.

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
Hi All
Finally got some more pictures from the Open day at the Perth site of the SMET.
Crystal working for her keep
Getting ready to cool lunch
Potatoes in to the oven
These railway folk do not know that they need to turn a wheel to go round the corner.

Hush. I've not told Crystal yet.
She is getting her cold inspection next Monday. So it's all plugs out and a scope inserted in unmentionable places.
