New years day steam up at West Dean (Nr Singleton) letting the boiler go at the end of the run ( quite atmospheric )

Re: The Engine Shed. Photo gallery.
right, just a quick post to explain this topic (I'll delete it later. my post, not the topic)
thank you Lynn for starting us off on this. I've now make it "sticky", which means it will stay at the top of this sub forum.
the idea is the create a "quick reference" topic/gallery of members engines at their current state of progress (yes, this does mean you can post photos of your wheels etc).
it looks nice if each person limits the images to two, and as you make progress you can come back and update these (rather than add a new post). could someone please confirm that the topic is set so normal members can edit their post.
this is additional to your individual build topics so keep the words to a minimum (although i won't be editing any so feel free to add what you want within reason).

Re: The Engine Shed. Photo gallery.
Julia has posted very simple instructions with pictures on a thread somewhere on here ( perhaps search under her name, Its right at the start of the forum in the very early days ) It uses the host icon on the line of actions in the tool bar and is very easy once you know how. Once you have this sussed perhaps Craig can delete this reply to keep the thread clean. Kev.

Craig
If we edit our pictures it does not show there is an update when you see the thread title in the "Owners Photos" list.
How do we highlight that we have made an update here? I have not time to update my build thread at the moment!!!!
Cheers

Re: The Engine Shed. Photo gallery.
nope, i don't think editing your original post brings up and update notification and i'm not sure if its possible to do it, probably not.
the only way i can see is to just post a up simple "updated my photo" reply. these could be "cleaned away" after a short while.
another possible way would be to delete your old post rather than edit it, then post a new reply that would flag up on the main page ???

Bill's 6" SWB Foden lorry - current progress
With Kit 10 now being completed I am looking forward to the next kit which is the steering and hand brake.
We have already received Ten kits and made one payment for the Boiler. One further payment had to be made for the Boiler and one for the Cylinder block. This makes 17 kits to go.

While there might not be much in the way of rallies going on I'm pleased to say Engine No 1 passed its test again with flying colours so I must be doing something right with the boiler , year sixteen from memory.
So here a pic from the other weekend when I went for a little trundle to get a steam fix.
