Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
ha ha, no didnt mean it like that, i'd not have a clue who was who if you didnt have your engine but as your taking it to show it'll be easy to find you and say hello!
how many more kits are there for the showmans to come as i'm keen to see it with the canopy on.
there was a nice showmans at the Carlise show driven by the son of the owner of General Gough, it's the same color scheme and really stands out with all the lights on generating. it's got a great bat to it too when it's going hard..

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
For the showman down to 5 kits left.
Roadloco is down to 2 kits.
The difference being the roof, roof supports & brass work and dynamo, exciter.

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
Hi,
There's 3 kits left on the Road Loco and 5 kits left on the Showman's. This is because the Showman's customers have already had Kit 3A so in theory are a kit ahead.
I believe the kits that are left are the Water Pump Kit, the Flywheel Kit and the Roof
Plus on the Showman's there's the brass work and the dynamo bits.

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
That's a nice sight Lynn. Hope you're taking a cover for your engine to Fraser Castle, the weather forecast is about as bad as it can be for a steam event What a crying shame!!
I hope to come over on sunday, so will look out for you.
Regards,
Tony

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
Hi Lynn
Looks a good set up, lots of room for all the coal, kindling and tools that you will end up carrying.
I will not make it to Castle Fraser with the Foden but I have attached a pic of the completed item, just finished having the signwriting done.
See you at Boat of Garten.
Hopr its not as wet as Corbridge was last week, nothing much moved all weekend.
All the very best

Nice to see a Foden for a change, too many of these tarted-up confections around if you ask me.

A taster for 10
Hi All
Just a short video clip to get you all going. Picture and video upload on going 17 hours to go. Set the files on the solid state PC and it will just churn away.
Steaming at Castle Fraser
Very nice 2 or 3"??
If you recognize yourself please PM me and I will edit to show your name and engine

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
Thank you Lynn, it was very nice to see you too. Good to finally meet the "most prolific person" on this forum!!
Also good to see "anothers" build particularly as it's a Showmans I could see you were generating alot of interest judging by the number of people constantly stopping in your little red tent!!................. You aught to get STW to give you some sales info to hand out to interested parties
Well done, you went to alot of trouble at Castle Fraser, concidering the weather wasn't ideal
No doubt our paths will cross again before we're too much older
Regards,
Tony

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic
lol. I handed out 400 leaflets to people that asked for information. I printed off the PDF from the website.
Also by the end of Sunday could hardly speak. I also enjoy engaging the viewers and not just sitting in a chair looking out into space.
