Yes Machar was a present from parents to assist my health.

I need to make a new drawbar as one on "Mara" is a bit worse for wear.

Well that's te top half done. Need to wait for a while before doing e bottom half.

Bit of mild engineering. Replacement A frame for the front wagon. The last one got a tad bent due to running over and a couple brakes.





Treading the end of the rod and tapping into the blocks. This is then welded for doubly sure.



Hung and painted.



Someone found the work too much.

First time doing gold leaf. Bit touch up to do. Otherwise very happy with the result

Hi All

Well now Crystal has had some TLC now to get on with the wagons.

Wheels off for cleaning and repainting. Bearings are all good.





Going to line out the wheels to match the engine and water cart. Then just the Axials, brake assemblies and springs to repaint.

Wheels now lined out. Just been turning the edges down on the hub caps in preparation for painting gloss black.

Looking good Lynn, I hope my engine won't get in your way when u need to work on your own engine 😃

No worries. Wheels will be back on wagons tomorrow.
Then things will be moved about to make room.

Going to get a gloss black finish.

Bit of a technical hitch today.

Got the glosss black paint all mixed up ready and pored in to the spray gun. Attached air line and the gun sort of exploded on me. Fortunatly most of the paint stayed in the paint cup. But me now has to go shopping for a new hvlp retouch spray gun. U-pol being my preference.


Bugger.

New retouch gun purchased. Not a U-Pol so will see. Think a test piece or somewhere not noticeable for the first go with it.

Hub caps now painted. Sitting to fully harden before fitting.

A sneaky little bit of work done on one of Crystals wagons. New home for the Push Pull pole. Saves it rattling around the wagon. I will repaint it tomorrow.
