Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic Part 2
Hi All
Just a test video with the new camera. Audio is muffled as I did not have my external recorder.
I bored out the water feed tap on the injector. So now there is more volume available to the injector. Cold run looks promising.

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic Part 2
Hi Lynn,
is it really almost 1 year since we discussed about axle lubrication and your modifications...
Anyways after a lot of this and that I now finally manage to get around to the modification myself. Followed your footsteps and will be using same approach (i.e. if I may => copyrights ) What I am looking at at this moment is the way you fixed the rear axle oilers to the brackets: looks like soft soldered? Correct?
The oiler comes only with a hex head unlike the STW oilers which one can mount using the nut provided.
Cheers

Hi
Yes. Soft solder. It is far enough away from heat to not be a problem.

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic Part 2
Since I was having injector problems. It was time to take it off and fix.
As suspected I was getting air over the water as the joint behind the injector on the water feed was too loose. A few more wraps of PTFE should sort it.

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic Part 2
Thanks Lynn,
will use liqid thread sealant this time, though on mine.
Any issue with injector not being vertical after nipping up the tubes? Before removing it was (much more) vertical...
Just wondering.
Cheers

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic Part 2
hi hi,
and I tried to get it as vertical as possible
Could not imagine why but as it‘s in the instructions I imagined there is a reason for it.
You never stop to learn.
Cheers

Re: Lynn Robinson. Showman Scenic Part 2
As long as it is reasonably vertical as it is a vertical injector.

Hi All
Today's little video. Checking the smoke and testing the injector. It was air over water that was causing the injector not to work 2 weeks ago.

Hi Lynn,
yes, great job, should have listened to you , looks like I was hunting for ghosts again .
Currently my injector is off still, just did a repair jon on my tender sealing, needs to cure now then I wil reassemble and test again, hoping to get the same result.
Thanks
Cheers

Just maintenance and polishing.
Just a test video with the new camera. Audio is poor but think that is the external microphone.

Hi All
A post from last year. It was in the wrong place.
Had Crystal out for a socially distant steam up. A.K.A. by myself.
I did do a video of some of the running.
