4 inch Burrell Differential
although most of this kit will be bought in gears the main part, the compensating centre, requires some complex machining.
first of all the castings were turned, front and back, on the lathe...
and now the complex stuff begins, but only really complex in the sense that all the machining has to be lined up "very" accurately with the casting.
here you can see both milling ops being done at the same time, taking around 25 minutes in total...
the first op is lying down on the bed and then the second op is in the 4th axis.

we are currently working flat out on this kit to get it done as soon as possible, I'll post more pics as it comes together.
