just about to paint mine - what is the concensus - normal paint - or heat proof?

Simon, I'm no expert but i just went with normal Craftmaster or whatever paint you have chosen.
I don't believe the perch is going to get hot enough to warrant heat proof paint. Warm but no hot.

The smoke box will need heat proof on it thou.

Having looked at a number of perches over the years. The feathers, sorry paint does not show any sign of heat damage.
