Horn Plates......what colour ?
Gents.
I'm looking for some help here...pics if possible, with regards horn plate colours. It clear that the outer side where the rivits are is black and the remaining outer area colour is whatever you have chosen as your main colour...in my case..Burrell Plum. It's the inner colour that I'm having a battle with with so many variations out there. Some all bright red...some all black and some with a mix of the two. Is there a standard to apply ?. Any pics of your horn Plates inner and outer would be most welcome and hopefully help me decide. Thanks.

Hornplate colours
Hi
Its a personal preference, I painted the bottom half gloss black and the top half Doncaster green both inside and out. The top of the boiler between the hornplates is black and I thought that once the crank, con rod, copper pipes, etc are fitted it should look OK, hope this helps.
Best wishes
Simon
