painting 2" Burrell
has anyone painted a 2" or 4" Burrell with Hammerite paints. If so, what were the results (or catastrophies)?

Hi.
From experience with Hammerite. I would highly recommend you do NOT use it.
It is actually quite a difficult product when doing multiple coating. As you either have to re-coat in a limited time window or wait a very long time for the existing coat to become non reactive before the next.
For brush. Craftmaster.
For spray. A good coach paint like imron.

I agree ref the recoating time, where you read long time it's several months. Used it on the frame for my bowser. Was a mistake in my case and was shot blasted back and started again.
I've used Craftmaster both brush and sprayed. It goes on great, also used it with an air brush and no problems, need to use craftmaster thinners though.

I'm handbrushing with Craftsmaster paints and the end result is very good. Despite the scale being only 2" and with essentially 6 coats of paint on the parts are still assembling with relative ease.
