Leaf springs
How did people paint/treat them? My front springs, having been kicking around in the factory for some months, were looking a bit rust-spotted so I took them apart and cleaned them up on a linisher. My thought now is to spray the faces with ACF 50, a corrosion inhibiter, and then paint the whole assembly with Hammerite once it is back together. Any other ideas?

Hi Mike
Rightly or wrongly I have used red and black smooth hammerite for all of the chassis and the axles, springs etc. Will find out in a few years if it was the right thing to do.
Enjoy the build - I only have about 6 kits to go.
