Steam Traction World wrote:Hi Guys/Girls,
The design for these is now completed and we will manufacture a batch of Windermere Kettles for those who want one and are unable to do it themselves as soon as the Showman's has been completed.
No idea of pricing at this time.
Dean
Hi Dean, was there any kits made in the end
Regards Mick
Just noticed the date on this thread, sorry for bringing it up, but was going to make a kettle & just looking at topic's & came across this so just asking as it would save some build time if they did get made in the end

Re: windermere kettle
Knocked up my own from a metal electric kettle, ripped the element out and replaced it with a few coils of brake pipe and just plug it on the injector over flow. Turn on only the steam to the injector and 60secs later enough boiling water is made for tea and coffee or for washing up.
We saw a massive reduction in gas being used in the caravan just boiling the kettle for stuff.
OK it might not be as pretty as something on the running board but makes bucket loads of more hot water
