Looking good, I'll pick up the second outlet tap for you tomorrow, come over on Wednesday evening to see. Did you drill out the tap for a better flow? Any update on the tubes and fittings?

Smart looking kettle(s). An insulating handle on the tap maybe needed as you will be boiling a lot of water!

Making progress with the project, got one home yesterday to try and work out location and pipe routing, won't work on the front of the tool box as the filler gets in the way of the cup, decided to go for the back and then bent the pipe accordingly, then whilst driving about today decided that the unions will not enjoy being done up and undone constantly so this thing needs to be located somewhere where hopefully it can stay permantantly as I use the tool box all the time to store all the tools nessecary for the engine.

So have gone for the other side of the bellytank on the duckboard and will run a pipe under the drip tray and out where the drain comes out, the exhaust can go with the other drains. Hopefully if I can work out a system to hold the can tight and attach it to the duckboard it can live there, currently looking at a small wood base with a turned recess in and then attched to the duckboard which in turn will have several strong magnets glued into the underside to hold it to the tank top.

Hi Guys/Girls,

The design for these is now completed and we will manufacture a batch of Windermere Kettles for those who want one and are unable to do it themselves as soon as the Showman's has been completed.

No idea of pricing at this time.

Had a very enjoyable day today with Andy (The Coleman) Ran the engine just to get a fix and test the kettle. What a romping sucess!!! 25 - 35 seconds tops to boil a cold pot!!! Had two cups from it and did a good run of housekeeping to get the engine a bit cleaner ( wouldnt want to be thought of as lazy Very Happy ) This shows the first test run.

Cant wait for the first rallies now, especially as the nights drawing out now.

I felt the best place to get a pick up was from the lifter union and then run the pipe back under the drip tray as the left side of the belly tank seemed to be the ideal location on the road loco. Tims location looks good for the showmans, obviously dont know anything about the proposed STW version perhaps Dean can give us an idea.

Yep, just turned a length of brass to accept the lifter globe the same length as the union pipe it replaced, the kettle valve is 5/16x32 and takes 3/8 pipe which is standard copper car brake pipe, £10 for 25 feet. Andy got 3/8 sized stainless fitting for the coil so the pipe screws straight in and the fittings were tigged to the body. All quite straight forward really.

Hi
The Stw kettle take off for the Agri is from the blower valve via a take off and the kettle located on the walk board, and for the RL and SRL is similar to yours from the water lifter valve with the kettle located on the belly tank, both then vent the steam down under the boiler.
