OK, this is really doing my head in, I've just spent an hour uploading pictures then pushed a wrong button & lost the lot, so here's the next attempt!!!! I'll not bother to discribe the pictures as it's pretty obvious what's what!!








If this lots up loads sucsessfully , I'll do some more!

Nice one Tony, those wheels are bright too.

Just putting my tender together at the momement. Trying to decide if I should poweder coat all the tender parts like towing bracket and straps, brake shaft bosses and tube etc. and paint tender before fitting these bits. I notice that there are parts of the towing straps/tender corners where there will be gaps and it will be difficult to brush paint behind them.

Hi Brian.

You will find if the tender or the tow bracket is powder coated before installing all the holes for the tow straps will be out by about 1mm due to the powder thicknes as the parts have very small clearances.

I agree with lynn, don't think painting tender parts before assembly is a practical option as it would throw out the alignment on everything including fitting to horn plates. I don't think getting paint in the gap behind the straps at the corners should present to much of a problem, do it first with a small brush then paint the rest after.

I put Craftmaster rust inhibitor behind the tow strap and even this made the tow strap holes difficult to line up. Painted over with a brush. The rear corners painted well using a brush to push paint into the small gap. Have now left it two months since painting the tender and it has really dried out much flatter. With the rear corners looking OK.

Still got to flatten it with the Meguiars DA polisher before pinstriping. I have decided to use lemon yellow from pinstriping uk. I visited them before Christmas and got a very warm welcome and was shown the different yellows in real life rather than in virtual ie on the computer screen which really does not give a true colour.
