Great Dorset Steam Fair 27th to 31st August 2008
We will have a trade stand at GDSF this year. We should be located in the 'Specialist Restoration Marquee' situated at the lower end of the 'play pen'.
We intend to show the 4" Burrell, 4 1/2" Foden, 2" Burrell, and a Likamobile. I'll probably take my Hornsby Chain Track if I can get it fixed in time. Hopefully, those that can, will be in steam.
Both Dean and I are going, plus we're very grateful for the help of David Steel (4" Burrell builder). We'll be able to spend much more time in the beer tent! Thanks David
Regards
Steve

Hi Bruce
The low pressure forward eccentric rod decided to part company from its mounting flange. I had problems at Pickering after the road run when the lubricator packed up. I suspect running dry for 1 1/2 miles (thats well over an hour on my engine) was just too much for it and weakened the joint. Easy to fix, the problem is just finding the time to do it.
See you at Dorset, we'll bring one of the completed 2" Boilers down so you can have a look at it.
