Question on the governor. If you are planning on fitting it but not belting it up is there any consideration to the valve placement, do you just press the liner in and have the vale sitting 1mm above its inlet port as per the manual and if this is the case what does "sitting 1mm above its inlet port" actually mean?

Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris

I would leave the internals completely out. Just have the spindle in place and the gland packed done. Then the governor can spin, look right and not leak.

Hi Lynn,

Thanks for the reply. I was running the engine this year with no internals and a blanking plate as I hadn't got round to building the governor. Will install as you say.

Cheers, Chris

Without a lot of modification and experimenting the governor won't actually function.
