Axle, brake and rear wheel issue
Hi guys and gals,
Wondered if anyone could help.
I’ve fitted the diff, and wheel collar.
I’ve now fitted the final drive to the axle, put the wheel on and it locked up with the brake.
Removed wheel so I could see what was going on and taken some photos.
It seems the axle isn’t long enough....?
Photbucket isn’t working and don’t know how to load photos form an iPhone onto here 😩

Re: Axle, brake and rear wheel issue
how long is your axle?
Are you sure the axle is positioned correctly as it may need to go through further and then you use the thrust and spacer washers on the diff to take up the slack.
images would be useful thou.

Re: Axle, brake and rear wheel issue
yes having problems with photo bucket not working 😡
As far as I’m sure... everything is as tight as it should be on the diff side.
One thing I forgot to mention earlier is that the brake shaft is too long...it isn’t flush either end when both brackets are fitted.
Again sorry for no pics, can’t upload any 😩

i would suggest, get some photos up on here and then we can determine what might be afoot.

Re: Axle, brake and rear wheel issue
I have spoken to Rob last night and Steve just now, and found the problem!
I’ve put the casting on the outside of the tender instead of inside. So it’s all pushed out 😩
Going to cut it off the brake arm to fit!
Going to try to upload some photos tonight
Thanks for everyone’s help, again sorry fur no photos
