Cylinder block
Hi,
Just picked up my cylinder block the other day. Setting it on my workbench and examing it all around I think I saw some loose dirt and grime in the passages. This made me think of the job of rebuilding old engines and having the engine block hot tanked (professionally) by a engine rebuilding company - just the cylinder before adding anything to it - if for nothing else for peace of mind.
How you you see that? Needed? Waste of time&money? Absolutely necessary?
Again nothing seriously wrong with the block not a sandbx full of casting sand, just something possibly lurking inside.
BTW how about the cover over the transfer port, in order to ease cleaning, should I remove it first?
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Elwood
