pressure gauge for pumps
I justed installed a pressure gauge to monitor pump action, there seems to be times that the pump is not keeping up with demand of the boiler or is not function correctly. The gauge will show a pressure pulse when the pumps are supplying the boiler with water. I installed one on my steamboat and I can tell when there is a problem with the pumps. see photo

Re: pressure gauge for pumps
I too have a pressure gauge fitted to monitor the flow of the water pump, but it is essential to fit a snubber to the gauge, otherwise the pulses from the pump destroy the gauge in no time.
