pressure gauge globe valve
Hi,
Just a quick question:
Is there a locknut at the 5/16 x 32 globe valve for the pressure gauge at the steam head much like on the globe valve for the injector?
On the drawings it appears as if there would be (you see a hex head), but neither in my assorted bags of parts yet to be fitted nor in the BOM I can find it. Been looking at several built threads but did not find a clear pricure of just that detail.
Thanks
Cheers

Re: pressure gauge globe valve
No lock nut Elwood it simply screws in to the steam head with the copper pipe bent in an S shape from the top to the gauge.

Re: pressure gauge globe valve
Thanks Smon,
was just wondering if it’s not easier to set position of globe vslve with locknut, much like injector globe valve.

Re: pressure gauge globe valve
Elwood,
You are right the pressure gauge shut off valve does need a lock nut, it ought to be the same pattern of valve as the injector steam valve.
I made locknut from a M6 stainless nut machined down in width - obviously drilled out and tapped 5/16" x 32tpi.
