Re: Steam Oil advice
I use Hallett Cylinder SCO680CT and bearing oil LB460C
Other use a combined oil so they do not have to carry two tubs.

Yep thats me Mike, been using Morris's Universal Steam oil on the 4" for the past 3yrs with no ill affects todate and as Lynn says saves having to carry two cans. Some say the universal stuff is better for the small models as its not as thick, having never used cylinder oil I dont know how different it is. I decided it must be good after one member did a london to brighton run on a 4" scenic using the stuff and was very please with how it ran on it.

That sounds a pretty good idea, as I'm only going to be running a 2 inch, cheers. Mike
