Re: New year, new thread... January, March 2016 (no February)
i think the 2inch bearing housings are part of the next kit, the material is all cut up ready for me to start working on them. i'll get more details as i get further into it.
yeah the boilers look too short to be showmans. boilers are in constant production, im not sure whats due next, i'll see if i can find out. it may even be that they are started already. ???

Re: New year, new thread... January, March 2016 (no February)
hello, i spoke to Harry the boiler maker and he said that as he has not made showman's boilers for a while then they would probably be next. maybe our production manager could confirm this ???. the plate-work and barrel will already be done, it will just be a case of assembly and final machining.
OK, this weeks "stuff".
we finished the two steering kits and out they went...
also finished the 6inch foden crank-shaft weights...
the main priority now is the 2inch Burrell kit 10 and the 4inch foden crankshaft kit. 21 i think
these are the parts for the 2inch 2nd shaft tube...
and im busy making parts for the bearing housings and caps. these will be silver soldered together and then come back on the CNC section for final machining.
not the best photo but...
and mark has made a start on another batch of 4inch foden cylinder blocks...

Re: New year, new thread... January, March 2016 (no February)
no problem. the boilers can be a bit of a bottle neck because of the work involved. we usually carry on sending other kits until they are ready so you do tend to end up with a lot of parts and nothing to bolt them to
