Best wishes from Down Under. We are at the stage of having completed most major sub-assemblies, and the next move is to start putting it all together. Wheels, tender, hornplates with spectacles and bearing houses,, steering, cylinder and so on are complete and painted.
Here is the best tip I can give you. Get a build buddy, someone at the same stage of building would be best, and send each other lots of emails and pictures about building problems and triumphs. I have a buddy who is now a friend, Tabbycat1947, who is also an Aussie. His help has been wonderful. Perhaps you could advertise for one on the 2" forum.
It is also good to keep a photo record of the build, even if it is not to be posted on the forum. It is amazing how often you go back to look at something.
Our Summer is yet to arrive, but I guess we are still a lot warmer than you are in Blighty!
