Looking good
The roof really finishes off the engine, so many miniatures don't bother with a roof but this looks great.

Re: Update on the next DCC kit
I hope you have a rebate deal in place with Reckitt Benckiser, with the amount of Brasso we will be using could be a nice little earner.
Re: Update on the next DCC kit
That new twisted brass looks nice & with a left handed twist will make our engines "unique"
Steve/Dean, will it be possible to buy additional twisted brass, as I'd like, for example,to add some to the rear brake shaft & possibly additional roof bracing?

Tony

Re: Update on the next DCC kit
A good question Tony, can I also ask as the engine is modelled roughly on Ex Mayor is the arrangement of the brass the same. As some may know there are two bits missing as they were removed in the first weeks of life. if i remember rightly they were in the way for belt fitting and had to be removed each time. Very quickly they were not refitted. If they are then like Tony I may be looking for an additional length. Brass twist on the top section of the break shaft is also on my short list of modifications if its available.
Many thanks
Many thanks

You showmans must like polishing brass!!
it looks like right hand thread to me.

Re: Update on the next DCC kit
Ian, you're absolutely right, it is a right hand thread, but it "IS" the oposite way to those I've seen on full size engines, which, is what I was trying to be so clever about observing (Would a mirror image photo turn the thread round?)
I must admit, there is "one mother of alot of brass" to polish, so I should be able to work up a real thirst, which will, I guess, have to be quenched in that "time hounered fashion" which steam enthusiasts appear to excell in

Tony
