Steam Test
Hi all,
Just booked the cold and steam test for Tuesday 9th October, just in time for the Weald of Kent end of season bash, which includes a nice 3 mile road run to the pub! Sounds good if a little daunting as I'm sure there will be some foibles to sort out along the way.
The two water pumps have been sent back to STW for replacement, which should be here before the end of the week leaving the weekend to test steam and get ready for Tuesday.
Cheers
Rick

Re: Steam Test
After a long day, I'm now very chuffed ! Fully ticketed, finally. If anyone is looking for a boiler inspector, I would thoroughly recommend Peter Hawkins from Chichester - a thoroughly top bloke, patient and very helpful.
He was here from 11.30 till 3.30, all fro £115.!
A good tip to help draw the fire - light a small fire in the smokebox - helps it draw no end.
No major problems, the water pump clack was letting buy but the pumpt was performing, injector was perfect and the safeties need a tweek as they left off at about 170.
So, Lynn you must be about ready for your steam test ? - next on the list I guess ???
Cheers
