Any news on wether the next kit left today? or will it be sometime next week? Also is there any progress on the outstanding brackets for the gear guard in the last kit? Can't get on and paint until they're here.

nope, kit has not gone yet. it should be monday or tuesday, just 2 bits left to make. im sure when you see the kit you will realise now many parts needed turning, with only 3 lathes this is what has caused the bottle neck. the funny thing is, the new machine would have been perfect for this !!

yes, the new gear guard brackets will be included Very Happy

Hi,

We all know how Craig hates to commit unless he is 100% certain, however I can assure you that this kit will be going on Monday whatever it takes.

basically its the governor and regulator stuff, but then looking at all the parts on the bench yesterday it seems a lot more. there are a few pipes and brackets etc. without looking at the packing list i can't give any detail as i don't know the correct part names. Embarassed

I've posted a few pics in the production guide area, I'll have a look to see what else is in my camera Cool

First steaming, that's got to be worth a trip back home for. It's a shame you'll miss it. But think of the fun when you get home. Smile

he didnt want to steam it til i was home but a new baby ( Very Happy ) on the way means we cant fly til january and my father has put the time and effort into building it and he is as excited about steaming it as i am - all i did was pay for it and assemble the first 2 kits!
the up side is he will have any little niggling issues sorted by the time i am home. i also have one over here in the US to play with. She is a dcc traction engine:

Congratulations. As you say it will be ready for when you get back, and in the meantime you can still have fun with the engine you have over there.
