After a hard day I was very pleased to hear my good lady tell me that there was a small but very heavy box across the road. Rushed across the road to collect the cylinder!!! By my reckoning that makes us just two kits behind on the original schedule!!! Very Happy Very Happy

Havent had a chance to look at it yet but will get a chance to open it up tomorrow.

Of course this means I have to pay up now Embarassed Embarassed

I'll call you in the morning Steve. Thanks for the efforts so far Smile

Hi Steve/Dean,

...and a not so happy surprise for me. I got the block home, opened it up to find one of the corners of the saddle has been completely snapped off.

On close inspection of the packaging you can see where it has been dropped very hard to the extent where the expanded packaging protecting everything inside has been cut right along one side where the casting has snapped. I didn't notice it when it came in being on the bottom.

Couldn't beleive it when I opened the box. I'll give you guys a ring in the morning.

cheers

Happy suprise on getting home!!!! Empty Cylinder block

Post  Steve Traill Thu 30 Jun 2011, 11:01 pm

My cylinder block arrived today and fortunately all was well however the cardboard box was on it's last legs and more rounded than square. Perhaps any more that are sent out should have a small wooden crate of some sort to protect them.
