A tribute to a great boss, good friend and all round decent person.
The STW owners Facebook page has been full of tributes to Steve today (thank you everyone). the factory was closed today so no production photos, but i think the forum deserves a chance to pay its respects. so if you want to... please add your messages below.
here are my thoughts on Steve...
The thing with Steve was, he had no ego, no vanity. he was a very modest man. To him hair was something you had to get cut every couple of months and clothes were just there to keep you warm and stop you getting arrested. He had more important things to think about. He was often hilarious and possibly a genius. He would (and often did) do anything for any of us at STW, but at the same time you didn't cross him lightly. In all the years we worked together we sometimes had crossed words, but always with regret, he was the sort of person you wanted to be liked by. He could turn his hand to most things and you would never find anyone who had a bad word to say about him.
We all know people like this, special people. No one is perfect but some are just a little better than us mere mortals.
Steve you are much loved and sadly missed.
As the anniversary of Steve's passing is upon us, this is a nice video to watch, a nice chance to see and hear Steve again, talking about the things he loved...
