Tim's first traction engine build!!!
Tim Watson called me last week to say he would be up in Lancashire at the weekend and he was, I met him on Sunday at the Preston Model Railway Exhibition and spoke to Tim and Mikero about their exhibit as part of the King' Cross Model Railway Club. I found out that Tim built his first traction engine long before Madeline was started!!!
This is a layout in N gauge, 2mm/foot of London in the 30s and some of the line is depicted in the famous 1955 movie, "The Ladykillers". Here are more pictures of the layout including more road steam depicted. The detail is wonderful and the layout has been 30 years in the making so far!! For those of you building 2" Burrells and thinking they are fiddly, look below.
Scene of an attempted murder in "The Ladykillers", Copenhagen Tunnel.
