Steam Oil useage

Can any one tell me how many miles the likamobile will do before you need to top up the two steam oil tanks ?
I am not sure my pumps are putting enough in ! How much does yours use ?

Mine, as you know, is the older model with only one oil tank. It uses one oil tank to each fill of water which is rather too much, ie. about 16 miles. But better too much than too little.

In your flat country you may use less water but are probably notched back more so the usage of oil is less due to reduced travel on the valve gear.

Thanks for that. Having two tanks just means twice the trouble, one uses a lot and the other very little.
The first could have a small leak and the second just not working well.
Hopefully someone with two tanks will come upp with an answer.
