Belly Tank Hornplate Bracket
I'm completing the belly tank for my Road Loco and want to ensure I've got the proper Hornplate Brackets before I paint. They are replacement parts BS41768. Is this the latest configuration? Please advise. Thanks.

Tank brackets
The latest tank brackets have an extra line of holes for "dummy bolts". ie, they have 20 holes in each of them.
Hope this helps.

Re: Belly Tank Hornplate Bracket
And the double row of holes go onto the hornplates to push the tank out further. You woudln't want to put these the wrong way round and paint it to find they need to come off!!!!
Belly tank latest brackets
Hi
Have a look at my photo thread and the latest pictures you can see the latest version of the brackets. Unpainted currently as I am waiting for the list of parts to be sprayed black to grow a bit as it makes spraying more efficient as less waste.

BELLY TANK HORNPLATE BRACKET
The bracket has more holes than the belly tank. It seems the objective of the latest bracket is to move the belly tank away from the boiler. Please confirm that the belly tank needs another hole on the mounting face near top of the tank. Thanks.

Re: Belly Tank Hornplate Bracket
yeah, there should be a note about this in the instructions.
we did have to move the tank down to provide clearance. this hole should be plugged up with a "dummy" bolt/bolt head
