Hi,

The 2" copper boiler is probably best left unpainted. If you do choose to paint it a high temperature paint is not necessary as the temperature of the boiler should only reach about 160 degrees centigrade. You will however need some sort of etch primer to enable it to stick and therefore will need to check what temperature the etch primer can withstand.

All the best

Dean

Bonjour ZZR,

Thought I'd stick me two pennies worth in. I used stackpipe stove enamel, can be applied directly to metals and obviously its high temp (high enough for our engines anyway) Has stuck like s^^^ to a blanket with me n leaves a high black gloss shine. Be warned though, you have the SLIGHTEST drop of oil/grease anywhere and it'll cock it up, obviously that goes with any painting but it really does bugger this stuff up.

Regards

LilyJack Cool

ps: it comes in a hairysole can so it's easy to apply as well..
