Trouble with lubricator
Afternoon all, another problem! The cam in the lubricator, with the small grub screw in. I'm having problems keeping it tight on the shaft. I have tried thread lock, but it seems to come loose and the shafts rotates but the cam doesn't.
Any ideas on how to stop it coming loose. I don't really want to glue it in case I need to take it apart again.
Also, when I have manged to get it tight, how long does it take to get oil though? I have had it on a drill for 10 minutes but no oil.
Another question, when running on air, do you need water in the boiler?
Can anyone help?
Charlie

Hi Charlie,
Is threaded hole deep enough to put another grub screw on top to lock in.
Barry.

Anyone had the same problem and got any ideas?

If the lubricator is the same, but smaller, as the 4" version is it adjusted correctly, is the front of the piston pulling back far enough to expose the fill hole of the cylinder ?

Re: Trouble with lubricator
I found that machining grooves on the rod were preventing it from moving smoothly in the O rings, bit of a rub with very fine wet & dry sorted it out.
