New builder
Afternoon,
I'm not new to the Forum as I did introduce myself back in May on the 2" site but after seeing a 4" Burrell I knew I had to construct one.
Thus the wait began from June when I paid my deposit to today when the long awaited telephone call came, kit 1 in the post next week.
So from next week I become officially an owner and constructer of a 4" Burrell.
Anyway, tonight I'll not be down the pub as I have to save my money and energy for the big build.
Speak to you all next week, if I can sleep, and stop pacing up and down and emailing people.............
Richard.

4" Aggi
They are a great little engine, enjoy the build, expect a few little challenges (if it was easy everyone would build one!) and eventually bask in the satisfaction having completed a cracking engine. Mine worked all summer faultlessly and has earnt hundreds for charity giving rides to children.

Another new builder
Hi I'm in the same position as you. I start the 2 inch Burrel shortly. The waiting is the worst part.
Anyway, I'll monitor your progress
Regards
Mike

Re: New builder
Another new builder, welcome.
In the same position myself eagerly awaiting the first kit - carpet almost worn out too.
I look forward see your build pictures posted - I hope you are going to post?
The forums a little quiet at the moment plus I do enjoy looking at the photos posted here.
Phil.

STW discount!!!
Perhaps STW should offer a discount on your next engine if you regularly post pictures & write ups of your build!!!

It's arrived.
Evening,
Well all 24kg of the front wheels arrive, very nice indeed. Chaps at work were very jealous that I had my Christmas rather early.
I have a few things to make prior to starting on the wheels, like a roll around table so I can work on the parts but be able to move them to another room etc. Also the pre-Christmas painting I still owe my darling wife.
More news another day, I'm going back down stairs to play with my bits!?
Richard

Re: New builder
Well done Richard.
Hope your pre-Christmas present.
Still awaiting that magical phone call, come on Santa the carpet starting to wear thin with all the pacing up and down in front of the fire place?
Is STW really based at the North pole?????
Phil.
