Re: Foden brakes
I also found that I had to remove some of the brake friction material in order to get the wheels to fit. Once I had established what was needed it was quite a simple task. I used a flap wheel on an angle grinder to do the job. All that is required is to identify and remove the high spots. I think the high spots have been caused by the thickness of the glue used to attach the friction material to the brake shoe. I would recommend that you wear a face mask because of the very fine dust and a thick pair of gloves due to the fine wire in the friction material. Best of luck but if it helps I did find doing the second pair of shoes much quicker.
