4" Burrell Boilers

Hi 4" Burrell Builders,

As per the production update I am please to inform you that the Royal Sun Alliance Inspector has now visited us and checked all our procedures and systems are fine. He has also inspected the initial welding, checked certification and given us the go ahead to procede with manufacture. I have added a couple of photographs of the boilers during initial construction to wet your appetites.

Hi 4" Burrell Builders,

Further good news on the 4" Burrell boilers.

The Royal Sun Alliance inspector has now been in for his second visit. On his visit yesterday, he checked the construction, the weld preps, the welding, the paperwork including traceability and determined the level of Non Distructive Testing (NDT). He has given us permission to now continue constructrion to completion and does not need to visit again until the first batch are hyraulically tested. On the next visit, as well as witness the hydraulic testing, he will also inspect construction of the second batch of boilers. Additional to this we hope to put another staff member through his welding qualifications giving us more flexibilty.

I have attached further pictures of some of the plate work and the first boiler that is almost finished. This boiler only needs the long stays welding in place and the fire tubes expanding in. With a bit of luck we could potentially have 10 boilers available within the next 6 weeks.
