New State of the Art Machinery For STW - Ordered Today
Hi All,
We are pleased to let everyone know that as a forward thinking company we have invested in the future by purchasing a new CNC machine from HAAS.
The lathe we have purchased is the very newest in technology with full driven tooling. This means it not only has the normal X and Z axis, it also has a 'C' Axis for machining flats and cross holes radially (on centre) and a 'Y' axis for milling flats, drilling, tapping radially (off centre)
This means that a high majority of under 1 3/4" diameter turned jobs will no longer need secondary operations on a milling machine.
The machine also comes with the very latest servo barfeeder capable of holding multiple 1.5m lengths of bar stock. This will minimise the loading down time, therefore meaning production has the capability of conitinuing 'lights out' if needed and not only improve productivity but improve quality as many items will be coming off the machine in a single operation.
This machine will massively increase our production capability when it is delivered in around 12 weeks time.
Below are a couple of pictures and a video for anyone interested.
Regards
Dean & Steve
