6 inch foden progress...

we have received the sample castings for the Axel boxes...





seen here with a 4 inch Axel box...



and the front wheel castings arrived on Thursday...



there's a lot to do on these so they have gone straight onto the lathe...

the front wheels are now done and will be going off for vulcanizing on Monday...

still waiting for the wheel rims to come back from vulcanizing, should be any day now.

hubcaps are done and ready...

these are having the first face/half machined now. they take about 40 minutes each...



and the brake drum brackets are on one of the mills, only 240 of these to make...



these will go in the inside of the wheel rims before the tyres go on...

rear wheels are nearly done on the lathes. on the mills next for drilling...

the good news is that the rear wheels have gone off for vulcanizing.

more good news is that we have the front cradle castings and the stub axles !!!
