Hi all,
Just had a satisfactory boiler test carried out on the Foden - gosh its scary when both safety valves are lifting and going full blast with a big fire and the blower on. Now all I need is some more bits and pieces and I can go for the next hurdle - road fund licence!!!
PS to Steve - I also need a new front spring!!!

All the best

Hi

Happy steaming!.

You should try a 350psi 175ft superheated paper mill boiler blowing off. Father use to be a mechanical inspector for Royal Sun Alliance a.k.a. British Engine Insurance before returing. I use to travel with him on my holidays.

Hi Ian
My front spring has snapped clean across at one end where the "shackle" has been welded on and the other end shows signs of cracking underneath the paint. Well worth having a look at.
