HELP !!!!!! Steam Head fittngs
Hi Guys,
Happy new year t you all..
Please can anyone tell me how I fit my two steam globe valves to the steam head. The threaded hole in the steam head body is much larger than the OD thread on the Globe valves !!! is there supposed to be a reducer bush or something that screws into the steam head into which fits the steam valves...
If this is not the case then how do I get the valves to fit the steam head ????
Would appreciate a speedy reply if possible.
Cheers guys.

Re: HELP !!!!!! Steam Head fittngs
The ISO 16a sheet 2 shows it and it cant be easier than following the ISO, if your globe valves are 5/16 x 32 and the boss head is 5/16 x 32 there should be no problem. If there is the problem as you describe they have either supplied you with the wrong globe valves with too smaller threads or the hole/threads in the boss is too big. As a guide, the globe valve threads are the same size as the pick up and drain male ends that protrude from the water tank top if that's any help
Have fun

Steam Head
Thanks Alan,
It appears that my steam headhas been threaded out for a much bigger thread than what I have on the globe valves, the OD on the globe valve thread is 1/4" but the threaded ID on the staem head is 9/322 so I guess that something has been supplied wrongly, I will have to call STW next week to sort it out.
Thanks and Happy new year mate.
