Items on Order and Lead Times

Hi All,

Thought we would add a little information about what items we have on order and general progress.

Kit 3 castings: The order was placed for these on 9th December with a lead time of 60 days. These are now due in to us around 10th May meaning a despatch date of the end of May should be an achievable target.

Kit 4 & 5 Rear Hub Castings: The order was placed for these on 23rd December with a lead time of 60 days. These are likely to be another 6 weeks. Work on the rear wheel rims has started and as soon as they have been completed they will be sent off to the Rubber company for Vulcanising. Our target will be to ship these kits in June and July.

Design approval for the boiler was sent off on around 19th March. As soon as this is approved we intend to start work on the boilers.

The order for the Cylinder Block pattern and castings (Kit 11 and 12) was placed on the 5th April.

As of yesterday (12th April) everything for Kit 8 (material and castings have been ordered).

By the end of next week the casting drawings for Kit 10 (the bearing housing etc) will all have been sent out for quotation.

Hopefully this will show everyone that we are thinking someway ahead when placing orders and should help to minimise any delays like the one's we have experienced with the Kit 3,4 & 5 castings.
