6" Foden SWB Empty 6" Foden SWB

Hi all, last weekend I was going to fit the top water tanks to the Foden. It has been standing in the same spot for around 6 months. I was horrified to discover flats on the back tyres. The front tyres are ok. When the tanks are in place obviously with the extra weight this would become more of a problem. My question is, has any one had the same problem, will the tyres go back to their original shape in time? If I had known this would be a problem I would have jacked the engine up. I would not have thought this would happen as I have had other engines on rubber tyres standing as long as this or if not longer and they were ok. With a bit more work I should be able to get in steam, hopefully in the next month or two. I would appreciate your help. David Watts.
