Hi guys, not sure wether image will upload will give it another go if it doesn't.

Trial fitting of smokebox ring to smoke box.
Question;
I have a gap of 1.5 mm between smokebox ring outer edge and smokebox top edge when rivet bolts are in place, is this 'normal'? It just doesn't seem right to me and although I've not painted yet I would have thought that it would sit flush against the face not have such a gap between.
Hopefully you can see the image and its self explanatory.

Advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Tim.

Not much to go on based on the photo but thinking the door is on the boiler end of the smokebox. Try it on the other end and see if it fits better, I’m building a DCC so there is going to be some differences but mine sits flush to the smokebox.
