Hi, I'm no expert, but have you checked that the piston gland isnt too tight?

Hi

Small check list.

1. Does it turnover by hand fairly freely?

2. How is your timing?
Check the valve event.

3. Is your valve able to move on its spindle?

4. Glands too tight?

5. Hydraulic lock?

6. A mechanical interference?

7. Regulator puck correct, and moving?

8. Do you get anything out of the whistle?

9. Do you hear anything out the chimney?

Thanks for the advice Lyn ,tried all what you suggested turns out to be the piston very tight in the bore, even with the glands slackened right off still tight ,don't know what can be done to resolve this one

Hi

Check the end gap of the rings. Otherwise the piston can be returned to have a skim off the diameter.
