Front wheels Empty Front wheels

Started building my front wheels this afternoon, got to point where you have to put a rivet bolt in the centre hole and found that the rivet bolts are too long. Are there different length bolts for the back wheels? If so I may have been sent these by mistake. Any advice welcomed.

I had to file all of mine flush with the nuts, used a power file which is an excellent tool for the build

They are not just too long, the thread doesn't go down far enough to tighten the spokes to the rim

Hi Barry,

I think that you will find that the rivit bolts are all the same length for the front and back wheels, sounds like your T rings are slightly to thin maybe as all the spokes are generally the same thickness.

Probably best to have a word with Steve at STW

Cheers Tim

Emailed Steve, the rivet bolts were wrong size, he is sending me correct ones tomorrow.
That's good service.
