About to place my order 2"Burrell
Hello all, new here and keen to start. So what sort of time is it from placing your first order to receiving the Kits ?. With the aim of getting a quicker start, i have seen a few kits around on selling sites that appear to be a good sale for a quick starting point and for a lesser outlay, but after reading, it appears that they could be old kits that do not match the more recent produced kits. Fell foul of this with a Modelworks 5" 45xx loco. Any advice would be most welcome, even if it is to stick to just starting with STW and paying the price and loosing the quick start thus enabling a quality finished product without the risk of the old kits and new kits combining to give me problems.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi,
I ordered mine in June last year and waited for the new run in November. I wouldnt personally take a chance on old kits being sold cheap unless you have some kind of engineering know how. I would suggest that you take a trip to STW and talk to Dean. He will answer all your concerns. There are loads of experts on this site who have helped me. I find that i have needed the time between kit deliveries to do a proper job. Take the trip to Daventry for an eye opener!
