Has any one had any trouble with the second gear mechanism? The second gear is hard into the third gear carrier and you can't move the dog to be able to engage first gear. I could trim the dog, trim the gear arm or put the second gear on the lathe. Thoughts welcome

Hi

You need to chamfer the inside of the 2nd gear at the splines. It is cut straight and the shaft has a stress release fillet.
that should let the second get in to its correct position.

Its an old Myford super 7. Really useful to have, but can't profess to be anything other than a novice.

Cheers
Simon
