Hi all. Decided to make a video diary of my build, not something I have attempted before so could be rubbish! Let me know what you think.

Somehow I am already behind with the videos as I got my second kit (the tender) yesterday and have pretty much completed it as I had the day off. Very Happy

Hello Chrix. nice to see a post in the new SCC section.

the videos are a great idea, good to see a genuine first reaction as the kit is un-boxed and also slightly strange to sit and watch as you check the contents against the packing list hoping its all there  Shocked

also should be a great way to help promote the kits to new customers  Cool

Just posted another video this evening. Almost finished getting my wheels ready for painting today. I'm finding it quite a lot of work to fit in, but really enjoyable.

Hi Chrix

Interesting to do video diaries, you need to post some filmed while doing the work then we can hear you cursing and swearing when your fingers hurt putting all the tender screws in!!!

I see you like Pinball too, are they all your own tables? I would really like the Adams Family table but I would need a lottery win for that or sell Blackbeard!!!!!

Hey Brian,

Its a funny world sometimes, it turns out both Chris and I have met before STW ( hard to believe there was life before STW I know). We both share a passion for pinball, I have 4 tables of my own and I sold Chris the Whitewater he still has, at the time I couldnt get on with it but I have since had a second bite at the cherry and have another one now as it is such an excellent table to play. Addams isnt that bad for price, they are popular because it was the biggest production title ever made ( just over 20,000 units ) so every one remembers Addams and rates it highly so it sells for a good price but you could pick one up for about 2K these days. When Chris and I both got into it you could still get tables for about £400 but as with everyting those days have gone.... If ever your this far south you are more than welcome to come in a have a few games. You wouldnt need to sell Blackbeard though.

Kev.

Kev/Chris

I DONT BELIEVE IT!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

A get together is needed and all we need is a good pub with a pinball machine and they are almost extinct now I guess. Even arcades seldom have them these days, if it aint got a screen and a big gun or joystick they aint interested. I spend more time on the (2p) penny falls machine now like an old fart when there is no pinball machine.

One day I will get a table and we are planning things for the house that will make that space available!!! the other one I have good memories of is the Attack from Mars one, fun to play and very B movie style.

Sorry for hijacking this thread Chris.

Hijacking for pinball is allowed Very Happy

As Kev says I bought his Whitewater, and have also had a few others. The ones in the videos are all mine, or were; some went to finance the engine I'm building now. You're right that you don't see them round much anymore which is a shame but there are still some about if you look hard enough - check out http://www.pinformer.co.uk/ When I started around 2006/2007 I really wanted a Twilight Zone, and turned down quite a few for as little as £650 (did eventually buy one) but now you will struggle to get one for under £2k.

Will try and get some footage of the work for the next one - thanks for subscribing!
