4" Agricultural Burrell
Hello all forum users
I would like to introduce myself. I am a 54 year old farmer from Essex about to build my first steam engine. It is thanks to all the forum users for giving me the inspiration to finally go ahead and build my first model. After spending many hours reading the different posts and visiting the factory I decided to take the plunge. I know there is plenty of help out there should I need it.
Am picking the kits up from Dean in about a month's time and am really looking forward to constucting the 4" agricultural burrell.

Yes welcome aboard and to the steam family.
I am a steam padawin learner as well so do not be afraid.
A question is only silly if you know the answer.

Re: 4" Agricultural Burrell
Do you think a 4" engine is up to the size of the fields in Essex?

Re: 4" Agricultural Burrell
Welcome to the club Simon,
Building an engine yourself is one of the most satisfying things you can do, you will get confuses and frustrated at times, but there is always an answer here on the forum.
The 4" agriculturral engines have been around for quite a while , and many have now been built, all of the niggles are ironed out, so the build should be straight forward.
Any kits that might prove to bbe difficult to assemble, or have an easier method of assembly are all dealt with on the forum somewhere.
One final thing, the customer service from STW is fantastic, they are onlly too pleased to advise and help out.
There are very few builders who have not made a mistake in the assembly at one stage or another. I am sure it will happen... but help is always here..
Enjoy your build mate !!!
