Trevithick tested on air
Today I ran the engine up on air, it ran smoothly and quietly with no knocks or grinding..... Just got to fit the Flywheel again (been painting and lining it) and take the plunge with some water and heat !!!
I will post a short video of the result., hopefully by the weekend !!
Frostie.
Thats my little steam apprentice Megan !!

Looking mighty fine, of course you realise you will have to do every Trevithick Day with the naming of your engine!

I think the standard of engines being built over the last couple of years are far better than in previous years, and with the superb engineering that goes into these creations the rally fields are really going to be taken by storm when they're all steaming.

Re: Trevithick tested on air
Thanks for the good comments fellow builders, I hope that the other builders post some pictures of their babes as they construct.
Dean, the million dollar question will be answered when i have sifted through all of my photos that I took at the GDSF last week, once I have decided on the livery, the rest is just a phone call
Steve I am taking the engine to williams unit tomorrow to run it up on air for an hour or so, just to let it have a bit of rotation before I put some heat under its botty.. Give me a call if you are free on Saturday mate...
