Re: Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre
Hi All,
Due to circumstances outside of my control there is a large possibility that i am unable to attend this weekends show at Bedford. This potentially drops Steve in it, so to speak, as he is unable to set the stand up, man it on his own and pack everything away by himself.
If any of our customers have nothing better to do this weekend and would like to give us a helping hand it would be greatly appreciated. (not financially i may add but you'd definately get your rewards in heaven). There would also be the added bonus of being able to stay in our first class accomodation caravan if required, standing on your feet talking to people all day and the superb entertainment each night. What more could a person want!
Seriously though if i am unable to attend and anyone would be willing to help please give me a call.
Thanks a million.
Dean

Re: Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre
Guys,
I was posting a cry for help which somehow got turned into just a cry of pain from Bungle and Vapors knowledge of needing more lubrication (i think we'll take his word on that one).
Back to the original topic please. I will be setting the stand up with Steve on Friday, Isabel will now be working the stand with Steve on Saturday and Mark, one of our CNC Millers, will be helping on the stand on Sunday. Any help would still be appreciated as both Isabel and Mark have very little experience at shows so your support i am sure would be valued.
All the best
Dean

Re: Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre
Guys,
I intend to get up to the show quite early on Saturday as i live near by.
As a new customer to STW i'm not sure what value I would bring to the table as far as selling however I'll be more than happy to support where needed so if there is anything i can do just let me know. I'll come looking for you when i get on site..
Shame you can't attend Dean as it was my opportunity to put faces to names.
fingers crossed for the weather...
Nick

Well I have been informed by those who know that if your young and in your prime like me then it will need to have a high melting point, however for old worn out people that may have a little slack in the bore you may need something to actualy make some friction

Tony, you're a dead man if ya ole lady see's that post hahahaha. And Bungle, PRAY?? Do they have churches in pubs?? .
Cheers tho guys, funny as hell those posts, made I smile they did .
Wellllllllllllllll, I went in the end, only for SATURDAY though as I was too ill on Friday to go anywhere, I have to say, it was pretty damn good and I most definitely look forwards to being there next year with my OWN engine built, was nice to meet some faces and have a natter as well, Col with his 4", (oh and his burrell as well) and Bungle, I'll agree with an earlier post about your paint job and build quality, for those that haven't seen Bungles 2" (oh and his Burrell) , it's an absolute beauty it honestly is, a serious amount of time and effort in that build and it shows too.
All in all, a good crack was had by all I reckon, I definitely had a good time and the road run was the absolute b****x, thoroughly enjoyable and definitely not something one does every day, oh and STEVE!!!!!!!,,,, no bollockin when I got home (around 9pm) so it was all good mate
Anyway, I could go on for ever about it all but I think it's time for a cuppa (with whiskey purely for medicinal purposes you understand), take it easy you lot and catch you all laters..
Regards,,
LilyJack
ps: Colin, Red to Yellow, Yellow to Blue, Blue to BITS!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre
Firstly can i apologise to Steve for not coming back to the stand on Sunday to say hello.. I couldn't return on sunday which was a slight disappointment.
The stand looked the nuts (Bungle your 2" wonder is something else...)
I had a great saturday as i haven't attended a BSEPS rally for a few years.
I had intended to spend more time up at the stand in the morning but was given the chance to help one of Johns fantastic pair of ploughers (Sunrise,Sunset) in the morning which was an honor as they had laid semi derelict in the village i live in until he took them both and fully restored them back to a pair of working engines which i hadn't seen working since.
There was a fantastic atmosphere over the whole sight with some old faces making for a great evening of beer and chatter around the showmans. My hat comes off to Paul for yet another fantastic show.
i've no idea where the afternoon went but having found old friends jumped on board and off we went to find a trailer or two..
The wave of people wanting to go on the pub run was huge this year and this was reflected by the queue out of the door for a pint...
I look forward to next year....
Lillyjack - great to meet you.
Waterways - Sorry we didn't..
Steve - I didn't catch the name of your dog but she's lovely. (i would have stayed to chat longer but it was clear your bitch and my Ridge Bruce didn't quite see eye to eye.
Regards
Nick
